The Gramophone Awards 2011: Shortlist
The shortlists for the Gramophone Classical Music Awards, presented in association with Steinway & Sons, have been unveiled. From the thousands of recordings issued over the past year, 45 have emerged from the judging process as the contenders for the coveted Gramophone Recording of the Year.

Two Music Sales composers have been shortlisted. Poul Ruders’ in the Contemporary Category for Music of Poul Ruders Vol. 6 Piano Concerto No. 2; Bel Canto; Serenade on the Shores of the Cosmic Ocean
Vassily Primakov; Norwegian Radio Orchestra / Thomas Søndergård; Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen; Mikko Luoma; iO Quartet Bridge BRIDGE9336

And Richard Rodney Bennett for Solo Vocal
Richard Rodney Bennett Songs before Sleep
Sophie Daneman; Susan Bickley; Hulett; Iain Burnside NMC Recordings NMCD155
