The Love Song Project

The Love Song Project
In an imaginative project designed to connect audiences and composers the pianist William Howard has invited leading composers including Judith Weir, Joby Talbot, Nico Muhly and Richard Reed Parry to contribute to a collection of 21st century love songs for solo piano. The final collection, made up of fourteen newly commissioned pieces as well the winning entries from the love song composing competition launched last year, complements the collection of early pieces on William’s critically acclaimed album Sixteen Love Songs which was released last year.

So far William has premiered two of the new pieces and will premiere the remainder at various concerts over the coming months.
