Volans album release and launch concert

The recording, which is available in CD and download formats, features two longstanding collaborators of the composer, Waldo Alexander (violin/viola) and Jill Richards (piano) in four works written over the last 12 years. violin:piano and viola:piano are part of a series of three duos composed in 2009, which also includes a work for cello. They are complemented by two contrasting solo works, the hardanger fiddle inspired Passi Leggieri from 2003 and Etude No. 9, which was written for Jill Richards in 2008.
The album will be officially launched at a concert with Alexander and Richards at the Pepper Canister Church, Dublin, on October 4. More information and tickets
